10 Things I’ve Learned in 10 years as a Creative Entrepreneur (#1)

10 Things I’ve Learned in 10 years as a Creative Entrepreneur
NUMBER ONE: Hire people better than you.

Don’t be intimidated or threatened, rather CELEBRATE their giftedness! Help them follow their dreams as they help you follow yours!

Early on, when I was defining what success meant to me, a desire that frequently bubbled to the surface was creating a JOYFUL work environment where my team can bring their whole selves (the good, the bad, the ugly) and be KNOWN fully, LOVED unconditionally, and CELEBRATED uniquely. My team has helped this dream become a reality.

I’ve had several really amazing teams over my 10 years in business and am grateful for each season and each unique soul who shared studio space with me.

I love these women and they have loved me. We don’t require perfection, but instead choose authenticity, encouragement and acceptance. It’s a joy to wake up and share each day with them. Women supporting women is not just a slogan – it is a deeply powerful movement that has defined success for me personally and for this amazing Orlando creative community.
